Where it all began
Alouette Bijoux was created in 2018 because of my love for vintage style jewellery.
I purchased a couple of pieces from the La Vie Parisienne range over 20 years ago and whenever I wore them people would stop and admire them and ask where they were from.
They wanted to know where they too could purchase them.
So, I decided to bring the range to Australia.
Almost all of the La Vie Parisienne pieces originate in a showroom in Paris. They have a library of over 120,000 moulds, settings and stampings as well as historical buttons. Many originate from the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras and some of them were designed by Rene Lalique, Picasso, Mucha, Toulouse-Lautrec and Paul Gauguin.
La Vie Parisienne orders the jewellery settings to be stamped in brass and to be coated in either 14k gold or stirling silver gold. After the settings are produced they are sent to La Vie Parisienne where the Swarvoski crystals are set by hand and some pieces are handpainted with French enamel. Then they have chains or beads attached and the final product is produced.
